Grief Support Group at Conway Regional

Grief Support Group at Conway Regional

Grief is as unique as an individual fingerprint, but it is in the support of others who have grieved that we find a common understanding. It is in that moment when we are brave enough to share our thoughts with a fellow griever, and they nod, smile and understand, that we know that we are not alone.

The Hospice Home Care branch office located in Conway will be providing grief support to the community in a classroom at Conway Regional Hospital's Women's Center. Meetings of the Grief Support Group are open to anyone and referrals are welcome from any source.

New participants may join the group anytime and sign up at their first meeting. Meetings will be interactive discussion and participant-oriented focusing on mutual support within the context of conversation about Understanding and Processing Grief Together, Learning Coping and Life Adjustment Skills, and Adapting to a New Normal in Life.

The group will be a supportive environment where shared experiences and ideas are welcomed and encouraged by participants with assurance of full confidentiality. A facilitator will assist the development and progress of the group by providing guidance into the issues of grief, ensuring the function and flow of the meetings, responding to group needs that may emerge, sharing grief-related resources, and by referring individuals to appropriate community resources as needed.

Meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30PM - 6:30PM in the Conway Regional Women’s Center Conference Room located at 2302 College Ave in Conway, Arkansas.

Hospice Chaplain, Ron Byrd will lead the support group and may be contacted at (501) 336-9172 for more information.

Comfort and peace on the end of life's journey

TRIBUTE OF LIFE FOUNDATION

Facing the end of life can be hard. Facing it alone, in the absence of family, friends, financial resources and qualified caregivers, is even harder.

The Tribute of Life Foundation believes that everyone deserves to complete their journey in a warm, clean bed, surrounded by people who care deeply about meeting their medical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Through our 'No One is Alone' initiative, we are committed to funding two beds in the Comfort Care Center for people who could not afford it otherwise.
